Head of Human Resources at The Label Store

The Label Store, a retail supermarket chain with branches across Lagos, is hiring a Head of Human Resources to lead the people function.

This is a senior role. You will set HR strategy, work with executive management, and keep staffing, performance, and employee relations steady across all branches.

The role

  • Lead HR strategy, policies, and workforce planning
  • Own recruitment, onboarding, and retention across branches
  • Run performance management, learning, and succession planning
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and statutory compliance
  • Report workforce data and HR risks to management

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • 10–12 years in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role
  • Retail, FMCG, banking, or hospitality experience is preferred
  • CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD is a strong advantage
  • Sound knowledge of Nigerian labour law and HRIS
  • Strong leadership, confidentiality, and judgement
